LAUNCHPAD / QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
BEFORE YOU LAUNCH.
A plain-English guide to creating a collection, minting through Xaman, the launchpad fee and what the broker does on the XRP Ledger.
GETTING STARTED
Who can create a collection?
Anyone can create a collection. Connect an XRPL wallet with Xaman, open the collection builder and enter the collection, supply, price and mint settings.
Do I keep control of my collection?
Yes. Your connected creator wallet remains the issuer. You approve the launchpad broker as an authorized NFTokenMinter, but you do not transfer your wallet or seed to the launchpad.
What do I need before I can publish?
You need a connected creator wallet, a configured collection, at least one complete NFT item and one Xaman authorization that permits the broker to mint for your issuer account.
Can I schedule a drop and use a whitelist?
Yes. You can choose a UTC start time, a public mint price, an optional whitelist price, a per-wallet limit and the wallets that are allowed into the whitelist phase.
Can I edit or delete a collection?
Draft settings and assets can be managed from your collection workspace. A creator may delete an untouched draft, but a collection with minted tokens or mint activity cannot simply be erased because its XRPL history remains onchain.
PRICE & FEES
What does it cost to launch a collection?
The launchpad does not charge an upfront platform price to create or publish a collection. Normal XRP Ledger transaction fees still apply when you sign onchain transactions.
What is the 1 XRP fee?
Every successfully completed mint includes a fixed 1 XRP launchpad fee. It is deducted from the collector’s mint payment; the remainder is paid to the creator wallet.
When is the fee charged?
Only completed mints carry the launchpad fee. An abandoned, rejected or failed mint does not produce a platform fee.
Why is the minimum mint price 2 XRP?
The creator must receive something after the fixed launchpad fee. A 2 XRP mint therefore sends 1 XRP to the creator and 1 XRP to the launchpad.
TECHNICAL FLOW
What is the broker wallet?
The broker is the launchpad’s operational XRPL account. It coordinates the on-demand mint, buyer offer, NFT delivery and creator payout. It is not the collection issuer and never needs your secret key.
Why must I authorize an NFTokenMinter?
XRPL lets an issuer authorize another account to mint NFTs on its behalf. This one-time AccountSet permission allows the broker to mint an item when a collector requests it, while your wallet remains the issuer.
How does an on-demand mint work?
The launchpad reserves the next available item, publishes its metadata, mints the NFT on XRPL and prepares the buyer transaction. The collector reviews and signs in Xaman; after ledger validation, the NFT is delivered and the creator payment is settled.
Does the launchpad hold my wallet or seed?
No. Xaman handles signatures. The launchpad receives transaction results, never your seed or private key. Always verify the account, amount and transaction details inside Xaman before signing.
What happens if I close or refresh during minting?
The mint record remains linked to that wallet. Reopening the drop resumes the pending mint instead of silently starting another one, so the ledger and payout flow can finish safely.
When is a mint considered complete?
Only after the relevant XRPL transactions have been validated, the NFT delivery is confirmed and the creator payout has been recorded. The status screen checks these steps instead of trusting a browser redirect.
Where do the image and metadata live?
The launchpad publishes a permanent public metadata URL for each item. That metadata points to the item image and is written into the NFT’s XRPL URI when it is minted.
